Hi, I’m Mary Turnbeaugh, owner of Mary’s Crate Escape. Since starting the business back in 2014 we have moved locations from Las Vegas, back to Castle Rock, Colorado. It feels good to be back home in Colorado.
I have been married for 27 years and have two children. I also have a new puppy Labradoodle named Dixie Belles. She is sweet as can be and keeps me on my toes! I have always held a special place in my heart for animals. In fact, I grew up in Wisconsin surrounded by dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, ducks and even two Canadian Geese named Frick and Frack that were raised from chicks. I don’t think there has ever been a time in my life when I didn’t have a pet!

How it all started
The Story is Simple.
Being in a new city and not knowing anyone, I had to hire a pet sitter so my family could take a vacation. After the meet and greet with my pet sitter, I felt she had the coolest job so I decided to take a chance and make a change from my 18 year career in Human Resources. I remember thinking if I was ever going to make a change for the better in my life, now was the time. I truly believe I have the most rewarding job in the world. It is so much better than sitting behind a desk and staring at a computer for nine hours a day!
